Yes, I know - it's Saturday. And that Post Card Friday is supposed to be... well... Friday, lol. But I had a friend over visiting last night and it just didn't happen. On the plus side, she did pick out the postcard for this week's post! Next week, on time. I mean it!
So that was the front of the postcard. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the ice water and dried apples are about. Any guesses, anyone? It's probably something really obvious that I'm missing, but well, I don't get it, lol.
Here's a close up of what it says. Notice, the writing is on the front. The early ones apparently only allowed the address on the back. From what I can make out, this is the message:
Every body well, hope this finds you all the same.
E. H. B.
And then the back, of course. No zip code. And the postmark is for 1907! That is one old postcard! And I'm digging having it and all the others.
So there's your postcard for this week. Next week, on time. Really!
:)
